INDEPENDENCE, Mo. — Police say a person was detained for questioning after a teenager was shot in the leg at Independence Center Thursday afternoon.
Police officers working security at the mall heard shots fired around 5:13 p.m. yesterday. The 16 year old victim was located and provided life saving medical assistance.
Independence Center was closed for the rest of the night.
